07.03.03... new news? ... So What.. For Realzies Hey guys, so much has happened since our last update, time had really gotten away from us. Went to a party last night, it was pretty rad. It was a record release for our friend Todd (Offset, Sons Of Abraham) and his new band Cubic Zirconia. Darryl and Sammy from Glassjaw’s new band played too, they are called Head Automatica. Check them both out if you get a chance. Brandon from The Rookie Lot and The Movielife is in a new band, Nightmare of You. They are releasing an LP August 4 called Infomaniac, and I gotta tell you, it’s pretty friggin’ sweet. I know everyone who knows me is gonna be all “WHAT?! Neil likes it?!?!” and they will be right, I DO like it. Steve and Josh from Irony of Lightfoot are playing together in a rock outfit known simply as Speed Speed Speed and it’s one of my favorite local bands. Pure adrenalin rock music that really kicks you in the jewels. They should play shows with a band from Brooklyn called Acid Tiger, and you should check out both bands on the new Friendster, called Myspace. Kyle from Now She’s Gone is in a new band called The Get Go and they have a new album due out pretty soon. It features guest vocals from ex-Thisyearsmodel and Sons Of Abraham frontman, yours truly, Neil Rubenstein. TJ from Descendre is in a new band called These People, it’s also pretty good, the few songs that I have heard. They have a profile on that Myspace site also. Jesse from The Rookie Lot and Brian Lane from Hometown Hero have been playing together for a few years in a band called Brand New. It’s pretty awesome. They just finished recording their most recent LP and I have heard a few live tracks on the Universal Internets. They seem to be right on target. Hope that comes out soon. Hopefully we will catch up to 2009 before it’s over. And we might have some pretty big news pretty soon, so keep checking back, now I will throw it over to dooobin. Thanks neil.. not really sure where to start so I think I will just make a bullet point list..
