regretfully, the last days of august have broken up. josh said to me tonight that he thinks that he, mario and joe are gonna keep on going with a new project and phil mentioned briefly a career bartending. i have yet to hear from sal but we'll keep you posted.

the movielife have just returned from tour and will be going out for another round on october 21, catch them in your area. tour dates will be posted shortly. they will have a 7" single on initial sometime next spring as well as a split 7' with new jersey's ex-number five. we hope to be doing some work with them in the near future as well. we shall see how things work out. the movielife is also featured on the emo diaries number 4.

d000bin learned a new dice game from the get up kids (on his trip to Florida click her for pictures) called threes, its kinda difficult to explain via internet so if you run into us at a show we'll show you, we have been gambling alot more often lately.

the miracle of 86 have just finished recording and it sounds fantastic. that full length should be out sometime before the new millenium and they will be hitting the road shortly there after. they will also be appearing on a smiths tribute comp with the cardigans and radiohead they perform ask.

we are currently working on a compilation "the best comp in the world" that we are hoping will be out in february. it will feature new and unreleased material by reggie and the full effect, jejune, errortype:11, hot rod circuit, roadrunner records' own glassjaw, the anniversary and a new version of new fond mass by the getupkids just to name a few.

we have been talking to buffalo's now shes gone about possibly doing a record or two with them. and its looking good... they will be heading out on the road with deep elm's appleseed cast in late november, catch them if you can.

also we have been recently added to the mailorder roster of both crank! and revelation. so if you cant find us in your local record store and are too lazy to write us, you can try getting us from them.

personally i've been speaking with a band called RPOD, an intensely political but incredible sarcastic bunch of kids from long island. you'll be hearing alot about these guys in the days to come. be on the look out and remeber you heard it here first.

in long island news... hometown hero has just replaced their drummer and are playing out again.we are trying to put a little something together for these gys as well... we'll see what happens. a million places closed down but a few new places have shown up. it seems that the busiest place for shows these days has been kule beenz in bayshore. also classy cafe in islip has been having a few shows too. in transit has just released a cd ep on their own label and it rocks. they are a mix of hum and quicksand, check them out if you get the chance. runner up has also broken up look for a new project shortly from eddie reyes and antonio from in jennifer's dreams. this years model is a new band from long island featuring members of sons of abraham and irony of lightfoot, it is my understainding that they are currently trying out drummers. if you're interested you can email one of us here and we will give you the inside scoop. glassjaw has just gotten back from their stay at the indigo ranch in malibu with ross robinson and let me be the first to tell you how incredible the new stuff is. expect huge things from these musical masterminds. when dreams die is a new band from upstate new york and just debuted their own blend of metal and passion for long island at kule beenz with the mighty neck and it blew me away. and finally, a new record from long isalnd faves silent majority will be available. rumor has it november 12th is the big day, its five new songs and it will be on intial records. oh and stryder is real good too, i got the seven inch and dug it a whole bunch.
