i agree with you about the whole peace thing and i don't say this to be bitchy or a know it all or anything, but jimmy eat world has been on majors for static prevails and clarity. did they have anything out before that besides singles. if you know of any please tell me, because like you said they play great msuic and i am a huge fan. thanks . : anyway...
: question: why all the hostility? why can't we just be damn fans of music? why do we have to criticize people for liking a certain band, or saying that just because a band is signed to a major they're no longer good when they're still making the same type of music? yes, i understand the whole anti-corporate america, but music is music is music is the same music. it doesn't change just cuz a band "sells out", or is signed to a major label. example: i know tons of people who have stopped liking jimmy eat world since the were signed to a major label. why? they still make good music. they still could be considered "emo". which brings me to another subject: why do we all feel the need as fans to label the music a band we like plays? why are they "punk", or "emo?" it makes no sense. why can't they just continue to make the music that they make? why do we have to put music in categories? why can't we just let them play. and if they band and musicians who MAKE the music want to label it, it's good for them. and then we can say "well, they're emo". goddamn.
